The event started with the greeting of the President of the Chamber of Serres, Mr. Christos Meglas, who welcomed the attendees at the 5th SEREXPO and the Closing Ceremony of the Accelerator being implemented in the framework of the EMPLOYOUTH project. The purpose of the Serres Chamber, Mr. Meglas emphasized, is for the Entrepreneurship Nest to serve as a stepping stone for young potential entrepreneurs, as it is in these environments that favorable conditions are created for the development of ideas and the development of partnerships.

For this reason, the Chamber of Serres is seeking the long-term concession of the Camp to enable the establishment of a permanent Business Center with showroom & business incubator structures with the promise of enabling the preincubation of 100 start ups with a focus on innovation and extroversion.

Each business idea was evaluated by a committee composed of Mr. Maria Anastasiadou – Managing Director of FIBRAN SA, Panagiotis Tsinavos – President of KRI-KRI SA. and George Tairis – Vice President of ECOTECHNIKI, Thomais Boziou (Chamber of Serres, Lead Partner), Pavlos Kilintzis (University of Western Macedonia, Partner) but also by the beneficiaries themselves.
